My bob
I’m talking about the haircut people - get your minds out of the gutter!
My hairstyle is generally called a layered bob by most people - short hair, just above where a shirt collar sits - with different lengths all through the hair. It seems to be a pretty popular “do” - Meg Ryan had one, so did Posh at one stage. So why oh why is it so hard to get it right?? I’ve found that very few hairdressers can actually achieve the look I’m after. I finally have the hair the way I like it, the right length, good layers but now I have a fringe. Oh I remember now the reason why I hate fringes.
They always get in my eyes so I end up pinning them back with hairpins and using copious amounts of product, so in the end, the resultant look would be the same as if I had a layered bob with no fringe at all. Bah! Next time, I hope I remember to tell them I’m growing the fringe out or else I will be stuck with this fringe for all eternity. To add insult to injury, hairdressers seem to have this obsession with making my hair look more voluminous than it naturally is. They feel sorry for me for not having thick hair like they do, so they decide to make it look like I do when they blow dry it. The result is a combination between Fran Fine hair height and Margaret Thatcher hairstyling. Trust me, not pretty on a 28yo!
Thank god for small hairbrushes you can carry in your handbag at all times - that’s all I can say! ![]()
