Having fun with digiscrap
Posted by KayI’ve discovered that I’m not a very crafty person at all. I can’t sew more than a basic hem or bag, not to mention I don’t even own a sewing machine. I tried making soaps but they turned into a big congealed mass of goop that pretty much resembled a cow pat in every way except smell. For that reason, I’ve never tried making my own candles either.
I do like photography and fiddling on computers though, so it made sense to give digiscrap a try. I started doing a paper scrapbook for my mum’s 60th birthday - she’s 62 now and it’s still a work in progress so I guess you can figure out how well I did with that. I did like fiddling with the layouts and such but my main problem was that I tended to cut the photos out and such and then decide that it would have been nice to keep some of the background in as well. I know the whole saying about measuring twice and cutting once but I never seem to be able to do that. That’s the brilliant part about digiscrap - you can crop photos as much as you like, fiddle around, change your mind a billion times until you get something that you feel is just right.
I found a lovely free wallpaper from Digiscrap Depot and turned the photo I had of Mojo into a sepia and came up with this page. So what do you think?

It looks absolutely gorgeous. I just love that photo of Mojo.
That looks so awesome! Well done
Very cute layout. Mojo is a perfect subject.
Welcome to the World of Digital Scrapbooking.
Once you really get into it you’ll amaze yourself at just how creative you really are.

Great combination of images! Is that bird in the cat’s dreams or is the cat in the bird’s dreams?
Thanks Duncan
As for the question, the bird is probably in Mojo’s dreams but Mojo would be the stuff of the bird’s worst nightmares for sure.
