Mojo and Rosie would like to wish you all a very merry Christmas! If you have cats, I hope you have got plenty of tinsel on the tree for them to pull off and chew to bits. It may make a huge mess but at least it distracts them from the food cooking in the kitchen.
And what have you done?
Well personally I’ve managed to:
Honestly, it’s a wonder anyone gets out of the Christmas season with their sanity still intact. The big day is tomorrow and no doubt you will be surrounded by family and/or friends (whether you like it or not) to mark its passing. No doubt you will get at least one gift that makes you scratch your head and wonder what on earth you’re going to do with it. And I strongly suspect, you’ll feel like going into the toilet or some other room where you pray no one can find you and quietly scream to yourself and wonder whether anyone will notice if you stay in there for the next 8hrs or however long it is until they all go home (or you can go home to yours).
Whatever Christmas holds for you tomorrow, have a fantastic day, enjoy it and be thankful that it comes but once a year. Merry Christmas folks!
After last year’s success with the big Christmas tree, I decided that I would tempt fate and put it up in the lounge room this year where it is a little more visible. After all, last year both the cats pretty much ignored the big tree and were content with decimating the decorations on the tiny 2ft version I had near the front door. Occasionally I still find stray decorations from it floating around the place. The only thing is, I forgot to bring the 2ft one back out from storage.
Maybe Rosie thought that we had given her an upgrade this year but she started showing a lot of interest in it this time. Initially, she only pulled off part of the tinsel and a few baubles but shortly after I took this photo, I looked back to find her completely up the tree to about the third row of branches. I’ve since put out the 2ft tree and she’s content to knock it over and give it bunny kicks. Let’s just hope it sees the month out….it and our big tree!
